# Internal Tough-Audience Vetting (Founder/Team as Skeptical Customer)
Before launch, the founding family/team itself acts as a critical internal audience, stress-testing a new listing concept the way a skeptical customer would rather than the way an invested creator would. The goal stated is to need few or no edits to the listing in its first year — i.e., using internal scrutiny to front-load the corrections that would otherwise surface later via Open-Ended Qualitative Listing Feedback Test or Negative Review Topic Mining for Product Development mining after launch.
Apply: before publishing a new listing, have people close to the brand (not just outside testers) actively try to find fault with it as a buyer would, on the theory that internal critics are cheaper and faster than post-launch review-driven fixes.
