A recommended layout for Amazon listing titles: lead with the single shortest, most-searched relevant keyword phrase, then state what the product is, what it does, what's included, and what differentiates it from competitors. Front-loading matters because both search-relevance weighting and shopper attention concentrate on the first few words of a title — see A9 Title Keyword Weighting (Position & Phrase Match).
Use the | character instead of commas to separate keyword phrases within the title. Pipes read as cleaner breaks than commas. Omit the brand name from the title body — Amazon prepends it automatically ahead of the title field.
Where the brand name goes depends on brand recognition:
The first five words/keywords of the title carry the most weight, both for the algorithm (see A9 Title Keyword Weighting (Position & Phrase Match)) and for the human shopper scanning results at a glance — "pictures are for people, text is for robots," except for this front-loaded text, which both audiences read. See Keyword Repetition De-Indexing Penalty for the cap on reusing a keyword within the title.
Where the brand name belongs in the title depends on whether the brand already has search volume/recognition. For a new or unrecognized brand, place the brand name at the end of the title — leading with it provides no click-through benefit since 'nobody knows who it is,' so descriptive/keyword-rich content should lead instead. For a brand with existing recognition and search volume, place the brand name at the beginning, since shoppers are actively searching for it. Check brand search volume first, then choose the placement accordingly.
Counter to the intuition that a brand name belongs at the front of a title, an unrecognized/new brand name placed first is reported to cost click-through rate rather than help it — shoppers scanning search results don't yet know the brand and treat it as noise ahead of the words that tell them what the product is (see A9 Title Keyword Weighting (Position & Phrase Match) on the first-five-words weighting). Recommendation: push an unestablished brand name toward the end of the title, and only move it earlier once the brand has built recognition.
